The Pre-Vetting Commission’s evaluation results for Valentin Caisîn and Angela Popil, non-judicial candidates for positions in the SCM

The Pre-Vetting Commission announces that two non-judicial candidates proposed by the Parliament for positions in the CSM, Valentin Caisîn and Angela Popil, failed the evaluation. The conclusion is found in the decisions sent to the candidates and the Parliament, the institution responsible for organizing the competition in this case.

Valentin Caisîn and Angela Popil are to notify the Commission if they accept or oppose the publication of decisions, within 48 hours from the receipt. Otherwise, decisions will be published on the Commission’s website after the deadline.

According to the provisions of Law no. 26/2022, decisions may be appealed to the Supreme Court of Justice within 5 days from the date of receipt.

The Pre-Vetting Commission has issued decisions on five non-judicial candidates, included in the list submitted by the Parliament to the Commission. Three candidates from the same category of professionals, with experience in law or other relevant field, are waiting for the Pre-Vetting Commission’s decisions, in order to become eligible for a position of member of the SCM.
