Marina Rusu, a judge at the Cahul District Court, Taraclia Office, and a judicial candidate for a position on the Superior Council of Magistracy (SCM), underwent a resumed evaluation by the Pre-Vetting Commission as per Article 14, paragraph (10) of Law No. 26/2022, following the conclusions of the Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ). On August 1, 2023, the SCJ accepted the candidate’s appeal and mandated the re-evaluation process.
The Commission publicly interviewed the candidate to clarify the factual situation and address doubts of financial and ethical integrity. Following the resumed evaluation procedure, the Commission issues a decision regarding the promotion or failure to promote the evaluation.
The interview was public and conducted online via the ZOOM platform.
