The Evaluation Commission for assessing the integrity of candidates for the position of member in the self-administration bodies of judges and prosecutors (Pre-Vetting Commission) announces the commencement, as of 25 September 2024, of the resumed evaluation for the candidate for the position of member to the Superior Council of Magistracy (SCM), judge Ecaterina BUZU, following the decision of the Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ) that upheld the candidate’s appeal and ordered the reevaluation. The Pre-Vetting Commission has notified today the judge Ecaterina Buzu regarding the start of the resumed evaluation procedure, based on art. 14 para. (10) of Law No. 26/2022 and the SCJ decision of 4 July 2024.
Throughout the resumed evaluation, the Pre-Vetting Commission will continue to adhere to the requirements of Law No. 26/2022, applicable to the selection of candidates for positions in the self-administration bodies of judges and prosecutors, as well as the Commission’s Rules of Procedure.
